AFTERCARE

Proper aftercare is essential for the best healing results.

Please follow the instructions below carefully after your appointment.

Wash & Clean

Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.

Remove bandage:

Second Skin: Remove the bandage the next morning after your tattoo session.

Saran Wrap: Remove the bandage after 2 hours.

Gently wash your tattoo with cold water and a mild antibacterial liquid soap.

Use only clean hands - never a washcloth or  sponge.

Pat dry with a clean paper towel - do not rub or use fabric towels.

Healing Ointment (First 2 Weeks)

Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor 2-3 times daily, as needed, to keep your tattoo slightly moisturized.

Always use clean hands and avoid dipping used fingers back into the ointment container.

Your tattoo should look soft, not shiny or greasy - blot any excess with a clean paper towel.

Night Care (First 2 Nights Only)

You may lightly cover your tattoo with Saran Wrap before bed to prevent sticking or bleeding on sheets.

Avoid cloth bandages or pads - fibers can stick to the skin and cause irritation.

Clothing Tips

Wear clean, soft clothing over your tattoo for the first 2 weeks.

Avoid anything tight, rough, or abrasive.

Peeling

Around days 3-4, your tattoo will start to peel or flake - this is completely normal. Do not pick or scratch.

Things to Avoid

Picking, scratching, or rubbing your tattoo.

Soaking (no swimming, baths, or hot tubs) for 2 weeks.

No prolonged sun exposure for 2 weeks - after that, always use sunscreen.

Tight or abrasive clothing, jewelry, or shoes that rub against the area.

Letting unwashed hands (yours and others) touch your tattoo.

Using unclean gym equipment - always wipe it down before use.
